We couldn’t be prouder!!! After 10 weeks of helping our runners train for either a 5k or 10k, this morning they did it! The RunFitter group took on a challenging 10k route through the Wyre Forest full of mud, trails and hills galore. They set off at 8:30am, each working to their own pace and their own target time. Towards the end of their run some of them began to merge with our RunFit group who had a slightly more leisurely start time of 9am.
The Run Fit group used the Park Run as their Graduation Run, taking on one of the most challenging park run courses in the UK at Wyre Forest. We’d like to say a special Thank You to Andie, the Park Run Director, and all of the marsals who made our runners feel so welcome. It was brilliant to see so many of our Run Fit graduates turn up and complete their first official timed 5k. They even featured in the official Park Run report which you can read here.
Husbands, wives, children and grandparents were all there cheering on our runners and we stayed for a cuppa and cake afterwards, wearing our medals with pride, and awarded a few spot prizes too.
We’d like to say a huge well done to all of our Graduates….and remember….this is just the beginning!
